Edition/Basel 2021 Session 2

The artists chose the title "ÜBERGANG" as a starting point for making their artworks. The 12 days of collaborative printmaking culminated in an exhibition at the Basel Papiermühle Museum in Basel, Switzerland, 6-8 August, 2021. This process video uses photos and videos made by the artists to record their work and techniques, and to bring together those artists working in Basel and abroad – even if only on a screen. For many of the artists, it marked a return to collaborative art-making after a year and a half of isolation. The work was completed at Druckwerk studio in Basel, and at the remote artists' home studios in Malmö, Sweden; Bergen, Norway; San Francisco, California; and Hamilton, New Zealand.
